Turns out that when you have a brewery, people have questions. Luckily we've got this little list to help everyone out.
What are your hours?
Location hours are available on our homepage.
How do I order beer for my bar/restaurant/liquor store?
To set up a commercial account, please call the brewery at (317) 602-3702 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I order a keg?
Sun King does not take reservations for kegs but we keep a good supply of kegs on hand at all times. Visit our tasting room and leave with a keg today!
Sun King sells kegs of seasonal or specialty beers from the Tasting Room. Seasonal and Specialty beer are subject to limited availability and are available on a first come, first served basis.
How much is a keg?
Prices vary depending on the beer and the size of the keg, so please visit our pricing page for a full breakdown.
How much is a keg deposit?
Sun King charges an $80 keg deposit which is refunded upon return of the keg.
How big are your kegs?
Sun King sells half-barrel and sixth-barrel kegs from our tasting room. A half-barrel (15.5 gallons) serves approximately 141 properly poured pints (with a good, solid head that generally accounts for around two ounces of a 16 ounce glass) and our sixth-barrels (5.16 gallons) serve approximately 47 properly poured pints. Please visit our pricing page for a full cost breakdown of our house beers in kegs sizes.
When can I get a keg?
We’d love to sell you a keg at any time during our Tasting Room hours located on the left side of the page, except on Sundays (Indiana law prohibits selling that much beer on Sundays.)
Can I get a tap with my keg?
Yes you can. Taps are available for a fully-refundable $40 deposit.
How big is a growler?
Growlers come in two sizes – 32-ounce and 64-ounce.
How much is a growler?
The 32-ounce mini growler glass costs $3.50, the 64-ounce growler glass costs $4.00. Please visit our pricing page for a full breakdown of the cost for filling your growler with our various house, seasonal, and specialty beers.
How much is a growler fill?
The cost of growler fills vary depending on the style, flavor, and availability of the beer. Our House beers are available for $8.00 per fill. Sun King also offers $6 growler fills of our house beers (only) every Friday. Please visit the Tasting Room for up to date pricing and availability.
How do I take care of my growler?
When you’ve emptied your growler, rinse it with warm water and give it a full air dry. Tell it you love it at least once a week and protect it with a Sun King growler coozie and it will love you in return. Sun King also offers a wash station in our Tasting Room to help keep your growler squeaky clean.
How does the Tasting Room work?
Sun King’s Tasting Room is open to the public so that you can sample our house, and available seasonal and/or specialty beers. When you enter the brewery you’ll be asked to show I.D. – no one under the age of 21 is allowed in the Tasting Room. We've recently updated our tasting room to allow for pint and flight sales - more information is available here.
Can you mail me beer?
As much as we’d like to roll a keg into the post office and slap a Priority Mail sticker on a fresh growler or case of cans, mailing beer is not legally allowed in the state of Indiana.
Do you fill corney kegs?
Yes, we fill corney kegs with 48 hours notice. There is no deposit for corney keg fills.
