Sun King Community Talks - Dog Days of Summer

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

Do you remember the Super Bowl earlier this year in Indy? Do you remember the thousands of volunteers that worked to get the city prepared for the event? Sun King remembers, and we want to bring that volunteer spirit back to Indianapolis!

We know that Indy is full of people that want to make their city great, and there are still plenty of opportunities for volunteers to do just that throughout the community.

Sun King Community Talks, SKCT, is a new program through which the people of Indianapolis can be introduced to and become involved with various not-for-profits throughout Indianapolis. Through this new initiative, SKB will be bringing together like-minded organizations, who are looking for people to get involved. This event gives various organizations the opportunity to introduce their mission and for individuals to ask questions in a comfortable environment.

The theme behind the inaugural Sun King Community Talks is “The Dog Days of Summer”. We are highlighting four organizations with opportunities involving animals. The four organizations are: The Indy Humane SocietyICANEvery Dog Counts, and Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue. The Dashboard Diner food truck will also be on site and pints will be available for purchase.

So please come join us on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sun King Brewery (135 N. College Ave.) and let’s bring the volunteer spirit back to Indianapolis!
