So do we, which is why we invited some of our friends to Indianapolis on Saturday, September 28. The difference is our friends happen to be craft breweries from around the country and they are bringing some of their finest beers to town.
From Noon to 5 p.m., more than 30 craft breweries will descend on Georgia Street for the Midwest’s first-ever canned craft beer festival, which we have aptly named the CANvitational.
The festival will focus on breweries like us that see the value in canning their beers. We know that for decades the beer industry convinced everyone that bottles are the vessel of choice for beer, but we politely disagree and so do our friends. Cans offer a variety of quality and sustainability benefits, and they are often allowed where no glass bottle can go.
We will be taking over the western portion of Georgia Street and Pan Am Plaza where many breweries that are not even distributed in the Midwest, like Maui Brewing all the way from Lahaina, Hawaii, or Cigar City Brewing from Tampa will dole out samples. And, we will be spreading the local beer love by inviting breweries from the city and state to come join us.
Party favors include an event-branded tasting glass, as well as t-shirts for the 1,000 early bird ticketholders. We have also lined up some of the best food trucks the city has to offer to provide grub for purchase and the Omni will have a food tent on Pan Am Plaza. Music will be provided by DJ Helicon and DJ Action Jackson.
So come join us and our friends as we spend the afternoon celebrating quality craft beer without a care in the world. Learn more and buy tickets at http://canvitational.com.
