Meet 2006 TIME magazine person of the year and Sun King’s resident cutie pie, Terence!
Terence Shackleford aka T-Dog
Canning Line Manager
Run and maintain all of the machines that bring the thirsty masses their canned beers
Born and bred Hoosier
How did you get here?
Starting as a successful commercial/industrial property manager, Terence wanted to pursue another direction. Beer and Sun King were at the top of his list of passions so he thought he’d give it a whirl. After a short time in the tasting room, he moved over to the canning line where he is now.
Was there a skill or experience that helped you arrive at Sun King?
Terence had a mechanical background from his time in property management so the canning line was a good fit for him. His aptitude for machinery helped the canning line advance to what it is today.
What is your favorite part about working at Sun King?
“Um, Beer” After a long pause, he decided that the people weren’t bad either. On a serious side, he truly loves working in and around beer and with the people he is surrounded by while doing so. He said that a bad day at Sun King is better than a good day in almost any other profession, in his opinion at least.
Where would you like to be in five years?
Terence wants to be laid up from a workers comp related accident. Set your sights high my friend.
What is something not everyone knows about you?
Terence’s wife is a puppeteer, not only in their marriage, but also as a profession! She runs Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio in downtown Indy.
He also has access to over a million square feet of real estate in Indianapolis and surrounding areas (don’t ask).
What do you like to do when not working?
When not working Terence is in Mother Nature’s home, trail running or cycling.
